The Veteran Employment Services Office (VESO) is aligned under the Office of Human Resources and Administration, which leads VA’s human capital management strategies and policies. The VESO leadership team is committed to recruiting Veterans to the federal workforce and providing full spectrum career support for transitioning Military Service Members.

The VESO Director for the Department of Veteran Affairs is responsible to the Assistant Secretary for Human Resources and Administration. The director leads the VESO staff in expanding and enhancing recruitment programs to increase the percentage of Veterans employees in VA and the Federal Workforce, improving Veteran employee retention in VA, and providing deployment lifecycle Support to VA employees who are active members of the reserve component.
