Military Skills Translator

translate Begin by entering your military occupation code (MOS), area of concentration (AOC), Air Force specialty code (AFSC) or Navy enlisted classification (NEC). Multiple codes and classifications can be entered and saved.

Continue by adding your rate or rank and selecting primary, secondary and tertiary responsibilities. Finally, you can select specialties and sub-specialties, certification, training and education, collateral duties, technical and soft skills.

Once you've translated active-duty skills into civilian-friendly language, you will immediately see the careers that best fit your experience.

Resume Builder

resume The Resume Builder integrates your translated skills, assessment results and employment history into a Federal Government resume template. With your newly created resume, you can:


  • Apply for a federal position on USAJOBS.gov through the Career Center
  • Upload the resume to the Veterans Resume Database for VA recruiters to find you
  • And save the resume to your desktop for use in applying for any civilian job

The Career Center enables you to build and save up to five different resumes.
